About this role
Elkanna is hiring Team Leads to provide day-to-day practice leadership within children's residential services.
This role is for experienced care professionals who can support staff, strengthen routines, model good practice, and keep safeguarding and quality at the centre of service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead shifts, coordinate daily routines, and support consistent implementation of care plans.
- Coach, mentor, and support Social Care Practitioners through reflective and practical guidance.
- Promote high standards in documentation, incident response, risk management, and professional conduct.
- Escalate safeguarding, staffing, operational, and practice concerns appropriately.
- Support a positive team culture rooted in accountability, respect, and child-centred care.
What we're looking for
- Relevant qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Significant experience in residential care, child and family services, or comparable support settings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead shifts, guide colleagues, and respond calmly to complexity.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, care planning, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong written communication and confidence with professional documentation.
Desirable experience
- Previous senior practitioner, deputy manager, or team lead experience.
- Experience preparing for inspections, audits, or quality reviews.
- Full clean driving licence.
